SheTrades Outlook - Making Trade Possible For Women

Promoting entrepreneurship for women and expanding exports from female-led firms remains a top priority for the Government. That's according to Minister of Trade and Industry, Paula Gopee-Scoon. Speaking at the Launch of the 'SheTrades Outlook' initiative by the International Trade Centre, Minister Gopee-Scoon said the initiative fell directly in line with T&T's National Development Strategy Goals for 2030. SheTrades Outlook makes trade possible for women entrepreneurs by enabling more supportive policy ecosystems. It is done through better data and analysis and sharing of good practices from across the world. Minister Gopee-Scoon said a local hub of the project will provide more visibility for female entrepreneurs on the global market - and will also facilitate greater participation of females in trade. Minister Gopee-Scoon said SheTrades can also be a tool for monitoring and evaluation as entrepreneurs will have access to international trade data.
