The US Embassy in Port of Spain says the validity of the Visa application processing fee, also known as the MRV fee payment, has been extended until December 31st, 2021. MRV fees are normally valid for only one year. The Embassy says this means that applicants who have been unable to schedule a Visa appointment, because of the suspension of routine consular operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, will be able to schedule and/or attend a Visa appointment until December 31st, 2021, using their already-paid fee. The Embassy says its officers continue to process Visas that qualify for interview waivers, and are working diligently to restore routine Visa operations as quickly and safely as possible.
