Top Cop Meets With Bar Owners Association

Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith, met with representatives of the Barkeepers and Operators Association of Trinidad and Tobago (BOATT) today to discuss matters affecting their industry arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and the Public Health Ordinance Regulations. BOATT President, Satesh Moonesar, and Director, Anil Maraj, raised concerns about perceived inconsistencies in the enforcement of the COVID-19 regulations. They stated their desire to work with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) to resolve these issues. Commissioner Griffith raised the issues of noise pollution and indiscriminate parking, and urged that barkeepers do all in their power to ensure these problems do not adversely affect the residents of the communities in which they operate. The Commissioner also promised to keep the lines of communication open among himself, the TTPS, and the BOATT moving forward.
