A historic day! Those were the words from Minister of Planning and Development Camille Robinson-Regis as she introduced the Tobago Self-Government Bill. She recalled that the Bill was introduced and read for the first time in the Parliament on October 14th, 2020, and said this was followed by numerous meetings and public consultations. The Minister rejected claims that Government policy will be directing the Bill, and stated that the Bills before the Parliament now are the work of the Joint Select Committee after listening to stakeholders’ comments.
