Supermarket Association Welcomes Tax Amnesty

Government's tax amnesty is "a welcome measure." That is the word from the Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago on the Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert's recent announcement. The tax relief is available for individuals and businesses once they file between July 5th and September 17th. These persons and businesses will have their interest and penalties waived. The Association notes that the business community, especially the Small and Micro Enterprises, have found themselves in a cashflow predicament because of the prolonged period of closure.
