Woman's Decomposing Body Found

Police are seeking the assistance of the public in helping to identify the body of a woman found down a precipice along the North Coast Road on Sunday. The decomposing body was found wrapped in garbage bags which were secured by duct tape. Police said when they received information about the matter, they immediately went to the scene. On arrival, they did a preliminary investigation. This disclosed that the woman may have been killed elsewhere and her body dumped off the precipice. The body, police said, was in an advanced state of decomposition and they believe that it may have been down the side of the mountainous roadway for more than a month. Anyone who has information related to identifying the body is asked to contact the nearest police station, Homicide Region II, 999, 555 or 800 TIPS.
