Police Probe Triple Murder In Penal

Police are investigating an early morning triple murder in Penal after gunmen stormed into a house along Mathura Street in Charlo Village at around 4am. The family claims that the gunmen identified themselves as police wearing navy blue clothing and another in dark clothing, and broke down the door, demanding to see the men living at the residence. Three of the male relatives were then ordered out to lie face down outside the family’s home. Following this, several loud explosions were heard before the two gunmen fled the scene. The three men, 18 year old Kishore Kumar, 42 year old Anand Kumar, and 26 year old Rolly Hosein were all pronounced dead at the scene. Matriarch, Linda Bajnath, recalled the ordeal, saying the family is confused as to why the men were targeted. Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police Erla Christopher assured that the TTPS through operatives at the South Western Division and Homicide Bureau of Investigation are currently engaged in the triple murder in Penal. She extended condolences to the family following the 4am ordeal at the family’s Charlo Village home. The Commissioner though assured that the TTPS will not ‘shirk’ its responsibility, saying they will use all resources to arrest and charge the perpetrators and restore the sense of peace and safety to the public. She added that counselling from its Victim and Witness Support Unit is being organised for the family, noting that all probable causes for the crime are being developed and available resources have been deployed into investigating this matter.
