A police officer has died in a vehicular accident on the Churchill Roosevelt Highway near Barataria. According to police reports, at around 6:15am on Tuesday, Constable Triston Williams was heading East when his car skidded off the road and crashed into a utility pole. The force of the impact split the car in two. Mc Williams, 26, was taken alive from the vehicle by fire fighters and paramedics, but he died on arrival at hospital. He was attached to the Inter Agency Task Force.
