Police Probe Death Of 12 Year Old

Police are investigating the circumstances relating to the death of a 12 year old boy in Princes Town. According to police reports, Tariq Toney of Indian Walk was at home with his parents on Monday evening. His mother, Jayloy Toney Clarke, reported that around 5:30pm, Tariq was cutting coconuts outside the rear of the house with a relative. After some time, she called out to him to come inside. She said approximately a minute or so after, Tariq came into her room bleeding from a wound to the neck saying, “look what happen mum, look what happen.” After waiting some time for the ambulance to arrive, the family decided to take Tariq to the Princes Town Health Facility around 6:30pm. He arrived about a half hour later unresponsive. The first responders conducted inquires at the Facility. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 7:50pm.
