The swearing-in ceremony for UNC Political Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar as Prime Minister will take place on Thursday, May 1st, 2025.
A release from the Office of the President indicated that the swearing-in ceremony will be at 4pm at the President’s House.
The UNC won the General Election on April 28th with 26 seats, defeating the PNM, which won 13 seats. The Tobago People's Party (TPP) won two seats: Tobago West and Tobago East.
Mrs. Persad-Bissessar will be sworn in as this country's ninth Prime Minister.
