Enterprise Welcomes New State-Of-The-Art Community Centre

A $10.4 million Community Centre was commissioned on Wednesday to benefit the residents of Enterprise, Chaguanas. Minister in the Ministry of Works and Transport, Richie Sookhai, said the new facility is equipped with meeting rooms, cyber cafes, training rooms, and classrooms, making it a state-of-the-art facility. He said the prospects of this Community Centre will greatly benefit the residents of Enterprise. "I want to thank all of you for the patience, the resilience, and the commitment you placed in us to be able to deliver such a magnificent edifice to you, our people. This centre is poised to be a game changer in terms of infrastructural development, not only for the community of Enterprise but the environs." He said the inclusion of a cyber cafe is an innovative move in conjunction with efforts towards digital transformation across the country. "As a computer engineer myself, I understand the digital space. I understand what technology is able to bring and uplift a society, and I'm happy to lead that charge for you, our people." Minister Sookhai urged the older residents of Enterprise to take advantage of all the facility has to offer. "I encourage our elderly folks, our senior folks, our more mature folks to also use this centre to have collaborations with young people. Come and learn at the same time too. Many times, my father and mother, they're not tech-savvy, but they always want to know."
