Hayley Matthews Out

The West Indies Women's tour of Sri Lanka continues to be a tough one for the regional team. To compound back-to-back losses in the One Day International series which equates to a series defeat, they have now lost their captain. Hayley Matthews has been ruled out of the ongoing ODI Series due to illness with the final game to be played on Friday. A release from Cricket West Indies wishes her a speedy recovery and indicated that Matthews will continue to be monitored by the Medical Team and will hopefully recover in time for the T20 International Series. The World Number 1 ranked T20 All Rounder will be a key component to the West Indies efforts to capture that series which starts on Monday June 24th at Hambantota.
