Down Syndrome Family Network Hosts Fashion Show

Opportunities for people with Down Syndrome are few and far between. Director of the Down Syndrome Family Network, Natalie Mohammed, said it is for this reason the organisation has partnered with Designer Richard Young to create a space for these individuals to showcase their talents in the form of a fashion show. Creative Director Richard Young said that people with Down Syndrome are usually denied opportunities as society tends to underestimate their capabilities. It is for this reason he was inspired to work with the group and give them to opportunity to erase the stigma. The show is titled "Fashion with Us" and is aimed at ending the stereotypes against people with down syndrome. It is carded for May 31st.
