North Gate Wins Box Cart Intercol

The Gravity Racing Association of Trinidad and Tobago has released its winners for the Box Cart Intercol that took place on January 7th 2024. Apart from executing on race-day, teams put together research on gravity, velocity, materials used, the design process, tests conducted and results attained. This mirrors a science report and some students are able to use a component of their work as part of their own School Based Assessments for CXC. First place went to North Gate College Team 2, second was Barataria South Secondary, and third North Gate College Team 1. North Gate College will be receiving one year of free internet courtesy Digicel. Additionally, members of the winning team will receive the grand prize of a trip to South Florida, courtesy Caribbean Airlines for a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math experience that involves university tours and visits to science museums and institutions.
