Panorama 2024: Small Bands Finals For Skinner Park

Fifteen Small Conventional Steelbands will battle for top honours on Friday at the Panorama 2024 National Small Band Finals at Skinner Park, San Fernando. Several VIPs joined with the Mayor of San Fernando, Robert Parris, to continue to work on achieving their primary goal at this time - building on the Carnival product in the Southern city. Whitfield Weeks, representing Pan Trinbago's President Beverly Ramsey-Moore, warmly named the first major Carnival event. The Convenor of San Fernando Carnival, Dawad Phillip, gave a rundown of the South J'ouvert route. He says that the Parade of the Bands will go in the opposite direction. And in another marker for the return of the South-Central Pan Champs competition, Mr. Weekes says the competition is being held in tribute of Ken Professor Philmore.
