Pan Am Games Update

To the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile where T&T athletes were involved in Canoe and Track and Field action. We begin on the water where Nicholas Robinson took part in the Canoe K1 1000 Metre Sprint Heat 2. Robinson would have to settle for seventh place in the Heat in a time of 4.23.27 seconds and he did not advance to the Semi Final rounds. The winner of the Heat was Valentin Rossi of Argentina in 3.40.58 seconds. Meanwhile, in Track and Field, the Men's 4x100 quartet of Jerrod Elcock, Judah Taylor, Eric Harrison Junior, and Kyle Greaux qualified for the Sprint Relay Final by finishing third in Heat 1 in 39.53 seconds. Their Final takes place at 8:03pm, following on the heels of Reyare Thomas in the Women's 200 Final at 7:02pm, and Kyle Greaux in the Men's 200 Final at 7:10pm.
