President Christine Kangaloo is taking action for the country to have a safe and secure environment through the pre-Christmas to 2024 Carnival season. As of October 30th, the President has called out 100 members of the Trinidad and Tobago Volunteer Defence Force to strengthen the T&T Police Service. The soldiers will be on the ground until February 29th 2024 - a four-month period. In recent years, the TTPS has joined forces with Defence Force personnel during the Christmas and into the Carnival season.
