Tobago Carnival Snapshot: Shawty’s Jouvert Junkies

The momentum continues to build for Tobago’s October Carnival. One entrepreneur decided to jump into the festivities with a Jouvert Band. Latoya Job, Leader of Shawty’s Jouvert Junkies, said her customers motivated her. Her first time taking part in the Carnival celebrations, Ms. Job said she has been examining the pros and cons of the venture. She added that safety for all patrons is of paramount importance for her and her team while having a good time. Tobago's October Carnival will take place from October 27th-29th. Several events have already begun including private Soca and J'ouvert events as part of the Carnival calendar of events.
