Chair of the Tobago Agri Business Development Company (TADCO) Ricardo Alfred said the company has been taking an active role in food security in Tobago. Mr Alfred explained that during the three week period when the island suffered a shortage of food as a result of the inter-island ferry the Cabo star being out of service; TADCO developed long term plans to combat any future food shortage on the island.
