In this episode we explore the 3 A's of Sexual Reproductive Health Information and Services, that is Accessibility, Availability and Affordability. Accessibility – this speaks to distance from home to health facility, the reception they get once they get to the health facility. Most of the participants cited the attitudes of facility staff as unwelcoming and hence making them hesitate or not go to facilities, especially the public ones. More importantly legislation loopholes are making it difficult to access services and information Availability – this speaks to whether or not youth SRH services is prioritized in terms of budgeting and planning. It also speaks to how continuous supply is not exactly guaranteed as most initiatives are by NGOs and these can run out of funding Affordability – most young people do not have disposable income making the pricing of medication and services a hindrance to their health rights.
