IHLAZO is a short series about early marriages, young people and relationships, set in a Zimbabwean village, explores the curiously painful life of Siza who thinks she has escaped her abusive marriage yet fate has other plans for her. Child early and forced marriages are a global problem across many different countries, culture, religion and ethnicities. Child marriages remain a widespread in Zimbabwe. As of 2019 approximately, 1 of 3 girls in Zimbabwe are married before the age of 18. Early pregnancy is one of the most dangerous cause and consequence of this harmful practice.
