The Petroleum Dealers Cooperative Society has temporarily suspended business operations with immediate effect, and have announced an increase in lubricant prices. In a media release signed by the organization's secretary Fabia Saleema Sattar on Monday afternoon, the Society says the decision was taken to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19. In response, National Petroleum Marketing (NP) says the PDC's decision to suspend their business operations as a Lubricants distributor, though unfortunate, presents no threat to fuel shortages or to the security of the supply of fuel.
