SPORT: TTOC Offers Fully Online Coaching Courses

The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee is hosting its first-ever 'fully online' course with the launch of the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees' Caribbean Coaching Certification Programme. The programme, which runs until Friday, has Anthony Marciano as Course Coordinator directing as many as 50 local coaches who will follow and interact through the BlueJeans video conferencing platform. The TTOC hopes this is the first of many such online courses due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. Sessions for this week's course will cover areas like the Role of the Coach and the Coach as a Leader, Developing Sports Skills, Long Term Athlete Development, as well as Development of Fitness and Safety, Injury and Recovery Planning. The course climaxes with the topics of Planning Training Sessions and Sport for Persons with a Disability on Friday.
