National Security Minister Stuart Young says there is no reason for him to resign. The Minister's statement follows the controversial visit of Venezuela's Vice President, Delcy Rodriguez, to this country in March. At Wednesday's Ministry of Health Virtual Media Conference, Minister Young was asked to respond to members of the public who called for him to step down over statements he made in the Senate about the Rio Treaty in relation to the Venezuelan visit. According to the National Security Minister, calls for his resignation came when he was misquoted by two daily newspapers. The Minister said he remains committed to serving the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
