PNM Party Groups In La Brea Want Le Hunte

The executive and party groups of the People’s National Movement (PNM) La Brea constituency want the Screening Committee to reconsider the nomination of Robert Le Hunte as their candidate to contest the General Election. Public Relations Officer of Party Group 20, Debbie Reid, in a live video on her Facebook page on Saturday, admonished the party for not approving Mr. Le Hunte as the prospective candidate for La Brea. She said 16 of the 19 party groups and 20 of the 22 executives were in favour of Mr. Le Hunte. Mr. Le Hunte, who recently resigned as Public Utilities Minister from Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley's administration, was screened along with incumbent MP, Nicole Olivierre, on Thursday but the party has asked the constituency to seek new nominees.
