Crime Linked To The Community

Independent Senator, Paul Richards, has linked the development of urban communities to social development. Speaking during the Urban and Regional Planning Professional Bill in the Upper House on Tuesday, Mr. Richards said crime is connected to the development of urban communities. He referred to a study examining how criminals choose their targets. The Urban and Regional Planning Professional Bill is now before the Committee stage. The Bill seeks to establish a Council for Urban and Regional Planners and to provide for the regulation of the urban and regional planning profession.
