Tobago Chamber Suggests Path Forward

The Tobago Business Chamber has been examining the Road Map to Recovery Report as it pertains to Tobago. Chamber President Martin George believes that the idea presented on a "Tobago Homecoming" is useful as a tourism promotion idea, which he thinks should be coordinated to coincide with a revamped Tobago Jazz Festival. Mr. George also took the opportunity to give the Chamber's view on how the Tobago economy can be improved. The Tobago Business Chief also suggested two highly innovative plans involving citizenship, and a change of status with regards to VAT. Mr. George said he would also like to see the Government reopen discussions with the Sandals resort, and to open the door for a stream of other brand name international hotels, to increase investment in Tobago.
