Extension Of Registration Cards For Venezuelans

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley says the Government may consider extending the Registration Cards for Venezuelans until December. During the Prime Minister's Questions in the House of Representatives on Friday, he was asked to provide the status of these individuals as the one-year period comes to an end. The Government had undertaken a registration process of Venezuelan migrants last year in an effort to provide them with Registration Cards which would allow them to live and work in the country for one year. Prime Minister Rowley said none of the approximately 16,000 Venezuelans has seen their Registration Cards expire, and the extension was due to COVID-19.
