Talks Ongoing On SEA Date

Minister of Education, Anthony Garcia, says discussions are ongoing between his Ministry and TTUTA over the August 20th date for the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) exams. On Wednesday, Minister Garcia announced the date for SEA exams, but TTUTA had said last week that an August date for the exam would put some students at a disadvantage. Minister Garcia said discussions with TTUTA were held earlier this week, but had not restarted Wednesday. Minister Garcia visited the Arima Government Primary School and the Arima Central Secondary School on Friday as he continued spot checks to ensure all was ready for the SEA, CSEC and CAPE exams. The Education Minister said he was impressed with measures at Arima Central to combat COVID-19, and wanted to hear more from the Principals.
