Prison Service Receives Sanitising Stations

As the world adapts to the new normal in the wake of COVID 19, the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service has received 10 sanitising stations for use in its facilities. In a brief ceremony at the Maximum Security Prison, acting Commissioner of Prisons Dennis Pulchan acknowledged receipt of the sanitizing stations on behalf of the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service, donated by CARICOM IMPACS, with the support of the British High Commission. Commissioner Pulchan thanked both organizations for their overwhelming support and valuable contributions. He noted that the donations will help to maintain a COVID-free environment within the nation's prisons, as we adapt to the new normal. To date, the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service continues to adhere to safety and preventative measures put in place to prevent the virus from entering the prisons. Some of these measures include thermal scanning of all persons entering the establishments, and the placements of sinks and hand sanitisers at strategic points throughout all prisons.
