William Aguiton Passes On

Prominent hotelier William Aguiton has died. Mr. Aguiton passed away at his home in Westmoorings at 8:30am on Friday, after ailing for some time. He was 81. He was the only Trinbagonian to be appointed Manager of the Trinidad Hilton Hotel, and the first to be named "Hotelier of the Year" by the Caribbean Hotel Association. Mr. Aguiton earned a Humming Bird Medal (Gold), and had also served as President of the Hotel, Restaurants and Tourism Association. He was the brother of former media personality and head of the Ample Advertising Agency, Alfred Aguiton. William Aguiton leaves to mourn his wife, Vicky.
