NAAATT Sticks To Closed Season

The National Association of Athletics Administration is sticking to its earlier decision to suspend the 2020 Track and Field Season, even as other disciplines are set to resume play once given Government’s blessings with the reopening of the economy. The NAAA decided that the rest of this season will remain suspended despite calls for a resumption now that the country is set to reopen fully in the coming weeks. But the governing body is sticking to its earlier decision and will plan for the 2021 season which is set to jump off in November with the cross country and outdoor circuit getting things going. Meanwhile, the NAAA and the National Gas Company has been distributing hampers to deserving athletes and their families badly affected by the Coronavirus. It was a response to please from the various track and field clubs, who reached out for assistance for their members.
