Education Minister: August 20th SEA Date Stays

Minister of Education, Anthony Garcia, continues to assure that his Ministry is doing what it can to secure the safety and well being of students due to sit exams in July and August. Minister Garcia continued the tour of schools ahead of the exams to ascertain readiness and hear of any challenges the schools are facing. Addressing members of the media at the start of the tour, he responded to those who continue to debate the date set for the SEA exam. Minister Garcia said he's confident that the nation's teachers will continue to take their students' best interests into consideration Chief Education Officer Lisa Henry-David gave insight into how they plan to deal with the COVID-19 Guideliness. The Education Minister said he plans to visit two schools in each of the seven educational districts. Wednesday was the turn of the St. George East and Caroni Educational District. He visited the Aranguez North Secondary and Charlieville Presbyterian Primary School.
