The PNM now has its election candidate for Port of Spain South. This was confirmed by Deputy Political Leader, Legislative, Fitzgerald Hinds, in a post on his Facebook page. In announcing Keith Scotland as the party's choice, he wrote that Port of Spain South has produced a qualified, strong and able Attorney at Law as its choice. He added that Mr. Scotland screened powerfully, as did all the other nominees. Despite the keen competition, the choice of the day fell to Mr. Scotland. In closing off his post, he said that now all PNM contestants are in the field, they have an election to fight and win. He said the party's goal is to take 26 seats.
