Never Forget July 27th 1990

It is important not to forget the Attempted Coup of 1990. The view of Noel Simeon, a survivor who lived through the event in TTT, said it's a date that resonates in his heart and mind, with memories which should never be forgotten for the nation's sake. Also, Member of the Commission of Enquiry into the 1990 Attempted Coup, Diana Mahabir Wyatt, agrees with the idea of remembrance. She said one of the recommendations coming out of the Commission of Enquiry, was to make the 27th of July an official day, to commemorate the events of that year. She said it was important to educate young people about the events of, not only 1990 but also 1970.
