PNM Women's Forum

PNM Candidate for Arouca-Maloney, Camille Robinson-Regis, says the People's National Movement, led by Dr. Keith Rowley, looks out for women. This, as the PNM women candidates took centre stage on the campaign trail Wednesday night in what's known as the PNM Women's Forum. The meeting that would traditionally be held at Bournes Road in St. James was held virtually at Queen's Hall because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Contrasting the efforts of the United National Congress, Mrs. Robinson-Regis said during the UNC's term in office they did little for the advancement of women. She cited an example when an auditor who pointed out discrepancies at the National Gas Company was mistreated by the PP Government. After counting the women who were fired or replaced by the UNC for the upcoming elections, she compared the UNC election slate to that of the PNM's.
