EBC: Recounting Continues

Despite reports on social media that the recount for the San Fernando West seat has been completed, the Elections and Boundaries Commission says according to its information, the process is still ongoing. There were reports indicating that Faris Al-Rawi was declared as the successful candidate for the seat. But the EBC says all seats that a recount was requested, with the exception of Tobago East, have not been completed so far. The seats being recounted are San Fernando West, La Horquetta/Talparo, Toco/Sangre Grande, St. Joseph and Tunapuna. Meanwhile, Watson Duke, who requested a recount for the Tobago East seat, has since conceded defeat.
