Tobago now has four confirmed active cases of COVID-19, one of which is from Trinidad.
The Division of Health and Wellness says two (2) additional cases tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. Both are contacts of a recently positive COVID-19 case.
The Division says all established protocols have since been implemented, inclusive of contact tracing, which is ongoing. Previously there were 5 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Tobago, with 1 death.
Acting County Medical Officer of Health - Tobago, Dr. Tiffany Hoyte sought to allay fears of the public, over the spread of COVID-19. She explained that the coronavirus is spread through close contact in confined spaces.
