Various Organisations Speak Out On Racism In T&T

The Emancipation Support Committee has called on all leaders in the society to denounce, publicly, openly inciting racist statements. The committee has also called on the leaders to take measures at the level of the State and Civil Society, to rescue the country from growing negative racial sentiments, particularly between the two dominant groups. Meanwhile, Roman Catholic Archbishop, Charles Jason Gordon, says it is clear people in this country at this time are blinded by race, and warns, this could be very destructive. Delivering a sermon at Archbishop's chapel he said he is beginning to see things that he had never thought possible in Trinidad and Tobago.
