Supermarket Association Lifts Ban On Ramsaran Dairy Products

The Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SATT) has lifted the call to boycott Ramsaran products, saying it has responded to overwhelming consumer feedback regarding insensitive comments published on social media earlier this week by a relative of Ramsaran Dairy Products. In a release, the Supermarket Association said the decision to remove the products was a principled stance as the Association continues to make every effort to align with partners who share their core values. SATT said in a similar spirit, they actively support local businesses and entrepreneurs who participate in the local economy. SATT added it has noted that Ramsaran Dairy Products Company has issued a full repudiation of the employee's opinions as acknowledged that it has taken subsequent redress to have the matter amended. This included the dismissal of the employee in question, as well as a full apology communicated via the national media.
