The new Government is to be sworn in tomorrow afternoon. This, as confirmation came from the Office of President Paula Mae-Weekes on Tuesday, that the President was in receipt of the final results of the 2020 General Election from the Chairman of the Elections & Boundaries Commission. According to the release, the ceremony to swear-in the Cabinet will take place at 4pm at the President's House. The Office of the President says given COVID-19 protocols, it has had to reduce the number of invitees to witness the ceremony. The release added that apart from those to be sworn-in, other invited guests include the Chief Justice Ivor Archie and his spouse, the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, the President of the Inter Religious Organisation, who will lead the prayer, and Member of Parliament, Mrs. Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
