Two Held, Firearms and Ammo Seized In Trincity

A Trincity couple was arrested and quantities of firearms and ammunition seized by officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the district early this morning. Officers conducted the exercise between 3am and 5am on Monday during which they executed a search warrant at a house in Orange Grove. During the search, officers found two AR-15 assault rifles, one MP5 machine pistol, three rifle magazines, two pistol magazines, one drum magazine, a gas mask and a quantity of assorted ammunition, on the premises. Two suspects - a 28 year old male and a 25 year old female who were in the house at the time of the exercise - were arrested in connection with the finds.
