Four COVID-19 Related Deaths In One Day

Four people have died today as a result of COVID-19. This is the highest number of deaths in one day recorded so far. In its report this morning, the Ministry of Health reported that two elderly males, both of whom had underlying health conditions, had died. In its report this evening, the Ministry said there were two additional deaths. One, an elderly male with co-morbidities and the second, an adult female. This brings the total number of deaths from COVID-19 thus far to 19. The Ministry has also reported 72 additional Positive cases today - 36 this morning, samples of which were taken between August 20th and August 27th, and 42 this evening, samples of which were taken between August 20th and the 28th. Tobago has reported two additional cases, bringing their number of active cases to 32.
