New School Term Will Be Pivotal

Education Minister Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly is urging students to show a renewed level of discipline as they embark on the start of a new virtual academic term, which official begins today. In her address to students, the Minister notes that this school term will be pivotal in guiding the way forward for home-based learning. Dr.. Gadsby-Dolly believes there will be challenges for this type of learning during the pandemic, but says students would need to adapt. The Minister says while the new term will be a challenging task for teachers, it will be equally difficult for parents. Dr. Gadsby-Dolly adds that School Social Workers and Guidance Counsellors will also still be available to students who are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or frustrated.
