Five COVID-19 Deaths Recorded

Five more persons have died from COVID-19, bringing the total number of COVID-19 related deaths, to date, to 27. This morning, the Ministry of Health reported three deaths, that of two elderly females and one elderly male. All three had co-morbidities or pre-existing health conditions. In its evening clinical update, the Ministry says two additional persons, an adult female and an elderly male with pre-existing health conditions, have also died. The number of active cases also increased to 1,085 with 24 new cases reported this evening, and 14 this morning - a total of 38 cases today. However, the Health ministry says these new cases are not representative of positive cases over the last 24 hours but from tests between August 23d and August 30th. One positive case is out of Tobago.
