T&T Has No Issue With Grenada And Barbados Over COVID-19 Measures

Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh says this country has no issue with Caribbean territories protecting themselves from T&T's COVID-19 situation. His statement comes just days after Grenada placed T&T on its High Risk/Red Travel Category. This means that returning Grenadians Nationals and visitors from T&T are expected to present a Negative PCR test result taken no more than seven days before travel to Grenada. On August 24th, Grenada took T&T off the low-risk group and onto the medium risk travel category. Five days later, T&T was elevated to the high risk category. But Minister Deyalsingh believes the country is just trying to protect its own, and as such, T&T should take no umbrage to that decision. In fact, Mr. Deyalsingh says T&T took similar measures at the beginning and during the pandemic. Last month, T&T was removed from Barbados' travel bubble, after this country saw a rise in COVID-19 cases.
