The National Council for Indian Culture (NCIC) has officially cancelled the physical celebrations of Divali Nagar 2020. It says this came after intense deliberations and assessing the many risks involved, as well as to ensure the health and safety of artisans, artistes, staff and members of the public. The NCIC says due to the most recent Public Health Regulations with restrictions on mass gatherings, it will be difficult for rehearsals and preparations for the national event. However, the NCIC says there will be a celebration this year - they will be presenting a virtual Divali Nagar 2020. Details regarding dates, contents and platform will be announced soon.
