Businesses And COVID-19

Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh and his team of health professionals are calling on employers to mitigate risks associated with COVID-19 as a means of preventing spread of the virus in the workplace. The Minister of Health responded to a question on whether there were consequences for employers if COVID-19 is mishandled in the workplace, upon any confirmation that a member of staff contracts the virus. Meanwhile, Ministry of Health Epidemiologist, Dr. Avery Hinds, said there are supporting systems within the Public Health Guidelines for employers, should there be a cause for concern within the workplace.
