Staff Members At Office Of The President Test Positive For COVID 19

In an update on the status of the Office of the President after one of the staff tested Positive last weekend for COVID-19, over 40 employees at the Office of the President have been tested for the virus with several testing Positive. The OTP has also reviewed the organisation around the recent events held at the President's House and is satisfied that all pandemic protocols - face masks, sanitising, social distancing - were strictly observed and that risk to external people was negligible. President Weekes and all staff members, including those who have tested Positive, remain in good spirits. All public engagements have been postponed until the all-clear is received from the Ministry of Health. The testing of staff is ongoing.
