Winston "Gypsy" Peters' 1986 calypso "Sinking Ship" has been remade into a protest song, warning Americans about voting for President Donald Trump.
The song was remade by David Johansen, the singer who made Arrow's "Hot, Hot, Hot" into an international success under the pseudonym Buster Poindexter.
The video has over 15,000 views on YouTube.
In a report, Gypsy said he is aware of the use of his song. He said he owns the copyright for his song, and it could be used as long as the relevant legal applications are in place.
He said he feels good about the song being used.
